Aurora

Aurora Aksnes, born June 15th of 1996 in Stavanger and known professionally as Aurora sometimes stylized in uppercase as AURORA is an Norwegian musician and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves is a May 2015 release from Decca Records. It has received high praise from the blogs and the press. Half the World Away from the band Oasis was made for an advertisement of John Lewis, and Nature Boy is the Nat King Cole cover. Katy Perry's support for her song Runaway in a blog post brought the singer additional acknowledgement. Enjoy her day. Aurora Aksnes earliest musical memory is of finding a piano in her attic and becoming enthralled by the music it could produce. Jan Oystein Aksnes was her father. The Aksnes family encouraged her to not to do music just for fun or as a means of development but instead, she was encouraged to explore it. As a result, she began writing her own music. She is credited with Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen as well as Bjork as being her influences. Her mother had told her that her songs can not only aid in her efforts to get noticed, however, they could also help others understand their value to the world and appreciate what can be done with the songs, she decided to begin playing in front of the public. The piano was her first instrument when she was six. She started making music at the age of nine. Her family didn't hear about it until she turned fourteen. Aurora was not a dream of her childhood. Her sole passion is to compose music. For her music, it is the most effective means of communicating anything.
